A Living Agent is a complex aggregate of interacting Physical Agents in which the phenomenon of life (the ability to process matter and energy from the agent's environment, called metabolism, and the ability to create agents similar to itself, called reproduction) has emerged. The study of Living Agents is the subject matter of biology, sometimes referred to as bioscience or life science.
